Absolutely Fabulous Darling!

So today me and Celebrity Stylist and Designer Zed Eye headed down to the Fabulous Magazine headquarters to learn about a very special launch they will be doing! They kept the launch info very hush hush and said they would announce it at the party!

I must say I am not very good with surprises so I did wonder what could it possibly be over and over again? Lol, I know right!!

When we arrived there were make-overs and mini photo shoots already going on. I spotted a few faces I recognised and got chatting! I am really trying hard to steer away from the alcohol at the moment as it doesn’t quite fit into my healthy new regime lol.

So we finally got to find out what the surprise was...basically for the first time ever Fabulous Magazine will be running a modelling competition for a non-celebrity to be featured on their cover!! How awesome is that!!! I immediately started thinking of all the amazing models I have worked with throughout the years and immediately started tweeting and BB’ing them to enter this amazing competition!!!

I then spotted these fabulous shoes, which were actually from New Look and had to try them on (below pic). I am absolutely in love with them and so impressed with the direction New Look is taking!!

Overall it was a great evening and so much fun ;) !!

Below: I was loving Sian's look! Sian also runs her own blog and previously worked at Grazia Magazine

Bisousxx

TMC 2010 Finals !!!

So yesterday was the TMC finals which took place at the Porchester halls in Bayswater London. For those of you who have never heard of TMC, basically Top Model of Colour (TMC) is a modelling competition with a difference. It’s been going strong for 5 years and takes competitors from black, mixed, Hispanic and other ethnic minorities who are typically under represented in the modelling world. One male and one female winner is chosen from a stunning mix of finalist’s who have been whittled down from hundreds of applicants. With the backing of the TMC corporation the winners are guided towards supermodel greatness within the UK and Worldwide (former winners have had shoots and catwalk opportunities as far reaching as Gambia and New York). Most recently the competition was launched in Holland.

The plan was initially to goto the event with one of my best friends and fellow journalist Miss Bello, however I got struck with really bad flew a couple of days ago so have been in bed all weekend! My outfit was set and I had received my invitation and tickets weeks in advance by the lovely Shereece at Sassi Pr but my body just said no and just indulge in the Lemsip.
I was so gutted to miss this event as was really looking forward to it but remember guys health comes first :)

So Miss Bello called me with excitement today to tell me that Nana Afua Anwti (One of my favourite models btw) had won the female competition and a guy called Jason Best had one the Male competition. Miss Bello was also a judge at the event and ( I must say I see her more as a Danni Minogue type judge as opoosed to a Simon Cowell type) and had the pleasure in contributing to crowning such beautiful people!.

Below are some pics from the event

Clicqisse Launch Party!!!

Today was the fantastic Clicqisse launch party in association with MOrava London, at the prestigious award winning London club CRYSTAL.

I went to backstage direct the show which consisted of a selection of some of the UK's top emerging designer.

Our host, celebrity presenter, Julian Bennet was a laugh as always. It was my 2nd time working with Julian and I must say it was an absolute pleasure once again.

The day went by so quickly as always. Heading the hair team was top Japanese stylist ,Shinya, who done a fantastic job managing the team and getting the hair looks to compliment the mood boards.

Below pic: Mood boards I compiled for the hair looks

Below pic: Hair and Make-up team in action!

I had to put my French to use as the lighting and music team only spoke a little English with French being their main language.

Opening the show was designer Kay Desmond, followed by Bao Ta. These two fantastic openings got the crowd immediately excited and rearing for more.

The Clicqisse models looked absolutely amazing. I mean they were not only extremely professional to work with but an absolute laugh too. They put in 110% into what they were doing making the show a great success.

The official shoe sponsor were Esska's shoes, which i am dying to get a pair off. seriously if you want quirky, edgy, quality, unique footwear, you will lovvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee Esska's shows.

All guest got goody bags which were sponsored by Sincura and my fashion art label Love Genevieve (
