UsTrendy sponsors winning designer Dilly Daisy to take part in off-schedule LFW show ‘A La Mode’ !

UsTrendy will sponsor designer Dilly Daisy to take part in the 'A La Mode' Catwalk show, hosted by LGN Events, during London Fashion Week.

Dee-Dee Shkreli is a self taught designer from Canada, specialising in party dresses with distinctive collars and vintage embellishments and buttons. Her label entitled Dilly Daisy has already graced the pages of magazines including NOW and Lou Lou. She has also showcased her work as part of Toronto Alternative Fashion Week and recently won the international UsTrendy design competition launching her into the spotlight of London’s off-schedule scene in Feb 2010.

In 2008, Sam Sisakhti founded UsTrendy to help talented fashion designers break down barriers created by the industry’s elite to make a name for themselves. The UsTrendy community helps uncover the gems of top-rated indie designers, who get a shot at making their fashion dreams a reality. LGN Events fashion director expressed " initiatives such as US Trendy are vital and much needed especially in the current economic climate with indies struggling to make their dreams a reality due to financial contraints."

Dilly Daisy’s vintage-inspired pieces are hand crafted from fabrics that are comfortable and easy to wear with styles that are fun and flirty.

UsTrendy sponsors Dilly Daisy will present the new “Eye Candy” collection to an audience of press, buyers, other fashion professionals and upscale consumers at the LGN Events third season of their flagship show “A La Mode.”

'A La Mode' Finale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Day 2

Today was the last day of ‘A La Mode’ which showcased another set of 5 fantastic emerging and Independent designers who included Mazelino, Marthe Aime, Moixa, Monica Couture and Guate Goat.

The room was packed with guests excited to see what these designers had to present and one thing I can confirm was that they were far from disappointed with the outcome.

Opening the show was Brighton based label Mazelino who launched their first ready to wear collection, Coco by Mazelino, this season. Think breakfast at Tiffany’s and Coco Chanel!!

Following them was Parisian label Marthe Aime with their fabulous range of accessories ensured to jazz up any outfit. The concept behind this label is just fantastic without a doubt!

Next up was Moixa, a luxurious style brand based on the timeless values of quality fabrics, attention to detail and stylish cuts. Inspired by travel, music, art and architecture.

Monica Couture followed showcasing her eastern traditional inspired pieces with cuts and designs catering to a trendy market.

Closing the show was Guate Goat with their high quality bags and shoes.

Exhibitors for the evening included Nooshooz, Rivets and n Stitch, 4 Seasons Shop and Carolina Faria Footwear.

The gorgeous Charlotte from Glam Media ( www.glam.com) also came down to the show to show her support. Read about her write up via the below link:
