‘Battle of the Quants’ fashion show

Today was a manic day and morning. It was the day of the private fashion show I was coordinating for Nolcha (www.nolcha.com) at the Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair. I was up from 6am and went through all the plans and scrolled my to-do list to ensure I had everything covered.

By 8am I started making phone calls to everyone involved who I either did not manage to get through to yesterday or had to confirm specific details with me. I already started feeling the pressure by 8.30am as the initial make-up artists we wanted to use were unable to get to the venue until 5.30pm which was far too late. I had to find a replacement so started ringing around my make-up contacts and eventually found a replacement.

I felt very confident with today's show as I had a very strong hardworking team as some of them were from La Geneve North (www.lagenevenorth.co.uk). I finally got a call from Elena, who was one of the models I had been trying to get hold off. She was ever so lovely and confirmed she would be there so that was one less of a worry.

What to wear is always a tricky and time consuming one for me as I am
always so indecisive about what to wear to events!! I decided to go for my bright coloured Alice Temperely style dress with my Green leather strapped, wooden heeled sandals.

I got to the Park Lane hotel at 2pm where a few of the models from Envy Model management had already arrived and were patiently sat next to the cafe by the ballroom entrance. I directed everybody to the relevant room and set everything up etc. I gave a brief talk on everything and the show itself. The other make-up Artists soon arrived with the other models and we got cracking!! Our hair stylist for the day was La Geneve North's fabulous Latifah Jolie who previously worked for Toni and Guy. Our photographer was the wonderful Alex Leonhardt. The models were styled by designer, Georgette Williams, with the wonderful TJ Arlette at hand assisting all the way through.

Model Lucinda Hutchin’s mother got the privilege of getting a make-over by La Geneve North’s make-up artist Katherine Anasa, who used a fantastic range of Mary Kay cosmetics.

Amongst the attendees were Draw UK’s Charles Gordon and Desmond Adymekwe, Andy O (Director of soireenights.com) and Sebastian Banovic (founder of Digital Hell).
It was overall a fantastic night with everyone letting their hair down at the after party!

If you would like to read more about this event, don’t miss Krysty Hazell’s fantastic article on the event which will be posted on www.lagenevenorth.co.uk
