Creative Female Led Businesses on Women’s Hour

Not sure if I already mentioned this but I have been styling the lovely TV and Radio presenter, Janet Narh, every Wednesday for her BEN TV programme “Women’s Hour”.

This week the studio was filled with creative women which was really exciting! The mix of inspiring women was amazing!! The guests included Diana Neverson- wedding events planner and novelist, her daughter jewellery designer Chorissa , Lankai – Director of Lani Records Ltd and amazing wedding dress designer Vinnette. These women all came down to talk about and share with us all their amazing life stories and careers.

I will most def get them to share their experiences with you all by arranging some interviews with them. These women were not just inspiring but a pleasure to meet.

I dressed the presenter Janet Narh in some beautiful jewellery pieces form 4 Seasons Shop ( www.4seasonsshop.co.uk )

The show got bombarded with calls from women who were simply inspired or amazed by the wonderful guests on the show.

I then headed home after the show with my tired but inspired self (LOL)

Bye for now

Street Dance 2008 Championships :)

Yesterday I went to stage manage the street dance 2008 Championships brought to you by G Force Productions ( www.gforceproductions.com). Being used to directing fashion shows, this was a totally new experience and challenge. The thought of knowing that I will have 300 dancers from all over the UK to manage in itself was a very scary thought.

The event took place at the Apollo in Victoria London, where the show WICKED is currently being staged. We had the privilege of being granted the venue by WICKED for this one day spectacular street dance event which has been described as the "Street dance equivalent of the Oscars".

The sponsors for the event included, Universal Pictures (Step up to the Streets), Kiss FM,Royal Academy of Dance, The Stage newspaper and Bullseye.

Below pic: Step Up to the Streets 2 movie out now in HMV.

I had to be at the venue by 8.30am which was extrrrrreeeemmmmllllyyy early for me on a Sunday. Sunday tends to be my lie-in day :)

When I got to the venue I got my stage team together and had a brief meeting whereby I made a few changes to the original plan. I was fortunate to have a fantastic stage team and really appreciated all their work and efforts on such a hectic day.

The presenters for the show were Eddie Kadi and Kamal.

The special guest performer was the critically acclaimed Saxophonist Yolanda Brown, who put together an amazing performance.

The winners of the Championships were dance group Unity!!!
Diversity, ( last year's winning group) handed over the gigantic Trophy to this year's new winners Unity.

Overall the show was a complete success despite the chaos I was dealing with backstage.

Sorry guys, I was soo busy I did not get a chance to take hardly any images but managed to get quickly take this pic before I left with members from the winning group Unity.

I will try and post some press pics later.

I was sooooo exhausted and went straight to bed when i got in, no chit chat (lol) just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

My Fashion TV Interview, Aveda and more...

Today I went to the annual Gina Aveda Fashion TV after show party at Movida and what a fabulous night it turned out to be.

I decided to look simple, so opted for my white dress with white florals and accessories ( www.4seasonsshop.co.uk).

Amongst the guests were fashion Pr’s, models , designers, stylists and more. There were free make-over’s, goody bags and spa treatments won in courtesy of Gina Conway Aveda Lifestyle salon.

I was selected to be interviewed by Fashion TV about my fashion art collection, Love Genevieve ( www.lovegenevieve.co.uk ) . I have a new website coming up with the full new current collection and art services I offer so watch this space :)

I fell in love with the below two ensembles which happened to be two fabulous creations by fashion label Death for a Doll.
The designer herself was modelling it effortlessly!

The event was put together to raise money for Earthwatch, founded in 1971 as an international charity that engages people in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.

Don’t forget to keep a look out for my interview with Fashion TV

Bisous x
